transfer educational objectives into practice
Educational Tools
Dear Readers,
An educational tool could be defined as an instrument to transfer and implement educational objectives into a practice, which engages participants in the learning process (Miguel Angel Garcia Lopez).
An educational tool should «stay on its own». This means that it should shape a, maybe short, but complete learning process with its theme, techniques, target group, materials, timing, evaluation. It can be a creative workshop, a role play, an outdoor activity, etc… A tool «staying on its own» does not mean that it should be something fixed or closed. When using it in another context it should be adapted, combined.
Experience tells us that one-off activities such as a video, a booklet, a facilitation or a discussion technique are normally part of a tool and in some cases a tool, an educational process with its own «personality».
I’ve created two educational tools, ‘Now You See Me’ and ‘MiA – Motive in Action,’ which I’m excited to share with you. You’re welcome to share them as well, on the condition that you mention me and my website.

Now see me
It is a Prezi presentation that I have used mostly in youth exchanges or classes with youngsters aged 14 to 25 years old. For some reason, I cannot embed the code in this blog, but if you click on the picture, it will take you to the presentation. If you have used this educational tool in a different way, please comment below on how you used it and how it worked with your target group.
MiA – Motive in Action
MiA is designed for volunteers (at any level), facilitators, trainers, and youth workers between the ages of 14 and 30. The choice of such a large target group will be useful for the facilitator to analyze the link between age, understood as life experience, and motivational styles.
