Back to School is a name of the Project that was submitted by Regional Volunteer Centre from Poland to the Visegrad Fund. Project focuses on organizing a seminar on best practices of non-formal education tools being introduced to a formal school system. That is a first Visegrad Fund project prepared by the Regional Volunteers Centre of Kielce, Poland in cooperation with partners from Slovakia, Czech Republic and Hungary.
In our countries school system –formal education environment –is based on delivering of many theoretical information but it lacks soft skills needed in life and on a job market. None of our countries is on “The Independent” Top educational systems list and youth work is much less developed than in the Western Europe. However our organisations have experience in non-formal education gained in the Erasmus+ Programme and local youth work which can be implemented for this generation of Youth. We also have basic experience in cooperation with schools –the best example is the “Lifeology” Programme that is a pilot project of our partner from Slovakia. All of us have ideas and good practices but we look for inspiration and new ideas, we also look for tools to involve schools more in our projects and ideas.
